First Batch of B.Ed. Classes at Pune University, Qatar Campus

Today marks a proud milestone for Pune University, Qatar Campus (MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education) as we officially kick-started the very first batch of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Program in Qatar.
The inaugural session was filled with energy and inspiration as we welcomed a diverse group of enthusiastic teacher-students, each bringing with them unique experiences and aspirations. This vibrant mix of professionals reflects the heart of our mission: to empower educators with globally recognized qualifications and the skills needed for the classrooms of the 21st century.
The session began with motivational addresses by our Director, Prof. Dr. B.B. Nath, and Mr. Dinesh Bakshi, Head of Operations, who emphasized the importance of teacher education in shaping future generations. Their words were complemented by insightful talks from Prof. Pranav and Prof. Vikas, inspiring our students to embark on this academic journey with passion and purpose.
Adding further value, Dr. Sujata will be providing dedicated hands-on support to ensure students receive both academic guidance and mentorship throughout the program.
The 2-year B.Ed. program follows a hybrid model with evening and Saturday classes — designed to accommodate the schedules of working teachers. With a curriculum aligned to India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the program introduces innovative modules such as Yoga and Wellness, ICT and Digital Learning, Drama and Arts in Education, Educational Research, Community Engagement, and Mentoring in Education. This ensures our graduates will be well-prepared to meet the dynamic needs of education in Qatar and beyond.
