🚀🖥️ We are Hiring! - IT System Administrator
MIE–SPPU invites applications for the position of IT System Administrator. The role
manages and supports the institute's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure and
efficient operation of systems, networks and end-user computing across academic and
administrative departments. ✨
Key Responsibilities

Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and file services
-
Manage the Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), including user accounts, licences, MFA and access controls
-
Maintain and troubleshoot the LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and Internet connectivity, including switches, routers, firewalls and VLANs
-
Administer firewall policies, endpoint protection and IT security, and respond to security incidents
-
Support computer labs, classrooms and faculty/administrative offices, including projectors, printers and interactive panels
-
Provide helpdesk and end-user support to faculty, staff and students
-
Maintain the IT asset inventory, licences, warranties and vendor records
-
Support CCTV, NVR and access control/biometric systems
-
Manage backups, documentation and business continuity
-
Coordinate with vendors and assist with IT procurement and technical evaluation
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or a related field (MCA, BCA, B.Sc. IT/CS or equivalent preferred)

Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, ITIL or other relevant certifications are an advantage
-
Minimum 3–5 years in IT infrastructure, system or network administration, or technical support

Experience in an educational institution is an advantage
Key Skills
-
Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy, Microsoft 365 administration, networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, Wi-Fi), firewall administration, backup and recovery, endpoint security, Windows 10/11, hardware and software troubleshooting, CCTV/NVR systems, asset management, helpdesk operations, and basic virtualization.

Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to run day-to-day IT operations independently, clear communication, good documentation, a security-conscious approach, and willingness to support critical requirements outside normal working hours when necessary.
